The Zero Emissions Platform is pleased to announce the first meeting of the Projects Network, in collaboration with Porthos CO2 storage and transport. This new Network creates a forum where CCS and CCU project developers exchange information, discuss enablers and hurdles, good practices, and de-risking planned and ongoing projects across Europe, and engage with European, regional, national and local policymakers.
Why join the Projects Network?
There is an urgent need to support CCS and CCU projects, yet there is currently no EU/EEA-wide platform to specifically facilitate information sharing between the many projects being developed across Europe. With this Network, ZEP establishes an important instrument to efficiently accelerate projects deployment and actively support the European Commission and governments on necessary policy/regulation, funding and actions linked to public perception.
The Projects Network aims to strengthen the CCS and CCU industries in the value chain and promote its large-scale deployment throughout Europe, by de-risking projects through insights on practices, business models and policy, accelerating projects through efficient project management exchanges, and enabling cost-effective realisation of projects.
Who can participate?
The Projects Network welcomes all CCS and CCU stakeholders, placing particular emphasis on engaging CCS project developers who are enthusiastic about tackling on-the-ground challenges. Our goal is to foster collaborative discussions that lead to the formulation of actionable recommendations benefiting both project developers and European governments.
Where?
The first Projects Network meeting will be hosted in Rotterdam in the Netherlands by the Porthos CCS project. The exact venue details will be communicated closer to the event.
When?
Save the date for this two-day gathering on 24-25 January 2024 and be part of this collaborative effort to further accelerate the deployment of CCS and CCU projects.
