Charting the course for CO2 transport by ship

With more carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects taking shape, CO₂ transport by ship will be essential to guarantee full-scale CO₂ transport across Europe. Ships are crucial to transport smaller volumes of CO₂, for long-distance transportation, and to transport CO₂ from isolated sites as well as for smaller and early-stage projects. The Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP) and the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) have conducted a study to outline the scope of a European market for CO₂ shipping by 2030, focusing on interoperability, barriers, and commercialization enablers.

Reaction to the Net-Zero Industry Act

The Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP) welcomes the proposal for the Net-Zero Industry Act by the European Commission (EC). It is a landmark political recognition of the contribution of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies to Europe’s climate neutrality target. The Green Deal Industrial Plan is poised to provide aContinue reading “Reaction to the Net-Zero Industry Act”
