Zero Emissions Platform re-elects Eve Tamme as Chair
Brussels, 4 December 2025 – The Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP) has re-elected Eve Tamme as Chair for a second term, following a vote by Advisory Council representatives on 4 December. Her renewed mandate brings continuity at a pivotal moment in the organisation’s evolution, as ZEP prepares to enter its next chapter under its new structure and name, Carbon Management Europe.
Eve previously served as Chair from 2022 to 2025, a period marked by significant transformation for ZEP. Under her leadership, the organisation established an independent secretariat, increased high-quality output, introduced a new brand identity and website, grew its membership, and launched new strategic initiatives such as the ZEP Projects Network and the Industrial Carbon Management Summit. These milestones have made ZEP a leading voice on industrial carbon management in Europe.
A key part of this evolution is the decision for ZEP to become Carbon Management Europe (CME), a proposal formally endorsed at the Advisory Council meeting on 3 December 2025. This transition will become effective in 2026 and will further enhance the organisation’s visibility, relevance, and impact across Europe.
With her new term, Eve will lead the organisation through this transition, consolidating achievements to date and expanding ZEP/CME’s impact. Her continued leadership will ensure ZEP/CME remains a trusted provider of science-based input to EU policy discussions on industrial carbon management.
“It’s a privilege to continue leading Zero Emissions Platform/Carbon Management Europe at such an exciting moment for industrial carbon management. Over the past three years, we have transformed the organisation into a unique entity with a powerful European voice for our community. With our new structure and growing membership, we’re ready to take the next leap: turning ambition into large-scale deployment across Europe.”
