European CO2 transport and storage infrastructure will play major role in reaching climate neutrality by 2050

The Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP) reiterates its support for the European Union’s commitment to climate neutrality by 2050.
ZEP is delighted to see that the European Commission intends to take quick action to urgently reduce emissions across Europe. To this end, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies play a crucial role. CCS technologies are ready for large-scale deployment, which is urgently needed to achieve the target of net-zero GHG emissions by 2050.
