Brussels, 18 November – The European Commission has released a report on to follow up on the Strategic Forum on IPCEI. This document outlines a series of recommendations to boost Europe’s competitiveness and global leadership in six sectors including hydrogen technologies and systems, and low-carbon industry. It recognises the critical role of carbon capture and storage (CCS), carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) and hydrogen technologies for the decarbonisation of EU industry and advocates for greater coordinated action around e.g. cross-border CO2 and hydrogen infrastructure.
