As the European Union increases the share of renewables in the energy mix, carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies have an important role to play in energy system integration – enabling the increase of renewable electricity and balancing the European energy system.
This report documents the findings and the conclusions of a workgroup convened by the Zero Emissions Platform, aiming to explore the role of CCS in providing clean, flexible power generation. The report is freely accessible on the right-hand side.
