Webinar: Building a European CO2 transport and storage infrastructure
ZEP is delighted to invite you to a webinar on “Building a European CO2 transport and storage infrastructure”
- This webinar will take place on Thursday 9th March, 14.00 – 15.30.
- The webinar will take place on Zoom. If you are interested in joining this webinar, please register by clicking here.
The direction is clear with ambitious 2030 target and climate-neutrality by 2050. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon removal technologies are needed for Europe to reach these targets, enabling industrial decarbonisation, contributing to economic growth, sustaining current jobs and creating new ones. In recent months we have seen many positive announcements on cooperations on cross-border CO2 infrastructure, the basis for CCS in Europe and vital to achieve the climate objectives.
In this webinar, we will tackle questions such as:
- How can we accelerate the development of European CO2 transport and storage infrastructure?
- What are the barriers to overcome considering existing international frameworks such as the London Protocol?
- How to solidify and further develop international collaboration around the North Sea area, where most of the European CO2 storage potential is located?
With the kind participation of:
- Daniel Kitscha, Policy Officer, DG CLIMA, European Commission
- Jasmin Sharzad, Special Advisor, Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities
- Joep Sweyen, Public Affairs CCUS Programme, Aramis
- Rune Thorsen, CCS Project Leader, Equinor
- Lina Strandvåg Nagell, Senior Manager Projects & EU Policy, Bellona
The event will be moderated by Per-Olof Granström, Secretary General, Zero Emissions Platform.
