ZEP is the technical adviser to the EU on the deployment of CCS and CCU – a European Technology and Innovation Platform (ETIP) under the Commission’s Strategic Energy Technologies Plan (SET-Plan).
The members of ZEP make up the ZEP Advisory Council (AC).
They provide strategic advice to ZEP, setting the overarching objectives and direction of travel.
The Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) currently provides the ZEP Secretariat.
The CCSA’s EU office is located on Avenue des Arts 44 (Floor 6), 1040 Brussels, Belgium.

CCS will be vital to ensuring the EU can deliver its climate change goals.
CCS has a unique role to play in delivering net-zero emissions across EU industry, power and transport sectors.
Carbon Capture and Utilisation covers a wide range of applications that convert carbon dioxide into other products. Some of these applications make a small but positive contribution to tackling climate change.
